It was freezing cold the day we moved into our camper. Thankfully, we had the furnace to keep us nice and warm. It took us about a month and a couple of eighteen degree days for us to realize we needed to rethink our heat source. Well, there was the night that we had to switch the propane tank out in 20 degrees weather after the furnace shut off! In the first month, we refilled the 30 lb (ca. 14 kg). Propane tanks every week and a half at $25 a piece. Not cheap. We had to find a better way.
Google Is My Friend
The world would be lost without Google Search. I would be lost. I’d seen a couple of references to oil filled heaters on some YouTube channels and Facebook Forums. So, I googled a few of the names and came across the DeLonghi Oil Filled Radiator Space Heater on Amazon. Bingo! After reading the reviews, we purchased ours from Lowe’s.
We love this little gem! By the way, The furnace worked great, but we still wanted a constant heat. It really keeps the RV at a comfortable level of warmth at 70 degrees. That’s not the highest setting for this heater. We’ve never had to turn it up any higher than 70 degrees. If you are looking for a heater that going to heat up quickly then this is not the heater for you. This heater is gradual heat; meaning it’s going to take a bit for it to reach its peak temperature. We use the furnace to warm up the RV and once the DeLonghi is set, the furnace doesn’t come on.
If you are looking for another heat source for your RV I highly recommend the DeLonghi Oil Filled Heater.
